Terms and Conditions

  1. Reservations Your room is not reserved until personal information with credit card is received by Grafton Lodge, or if the booking has been made by telephone and the purchaser instructs Grafton Lodge to place a none refundable deposit charge against their credit card –show or lack of canceling. This also denotes acceptance of all the terms and conditions set out below.
  2. Cancellations: All cancellations must be at least 1 night before arrival. Any person canceling a reservation inside the one day tie frame will be liable for a one night rate.
  3. No Shows: No shows will be charged for the entire stay unless the room can be re-rented less a 15% non-refundable deposit.
  4. Equipment: Please notify us if you find anything not working or not to your satisfaction and we will do our best to resolve the problem. We cannot be held responsible for mechanical failures or power outages and we cannot rectify problems when you leave or at a later date.
  5. Payment: We accept checks if received 14 days prior to arrival for the full amount required with a credit card number to hold the reservation. Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover or cash.
  6. Smoking – We are a non- smoking facility. Smoking is permitted outside only. Any person caught smoking in the rooms will be asked to leave without a refund. There is a fine of $250.00 if violated
  7. Pets: We only accept dogs in the first floor rooms only for $10.00 per pet per night. No more than 2 Dogs per room. Sorry, this is for the consideration of our other guests. It is a class three misdemeanor to bring pets into accommodations that prohibit them.
  8. Responsibility of reason and common sense: We reserve the right to refuse service deemed by the management to be unfit to take possession of the accommodations and will not be responsible for loss of valuables, money, and damage to vehicles or personal injury to any member of your party during or after your stay. You are fully aware that all members of your party use these facilities at their own risk.
  9. Check-in time is between 3pm and 8pm unless other arrangements have been made.
  10. Check-out time is 11am prompt. Late check-outs without permission will be charged at $25 per hour or per day after 3pm.
  11. Candles, because of the obvious fire hazard, candles are not permitted. Any person caught using candles will be asked to leave without refund.
  12. Personal barbeques are not permitted at the Lodge. Our insurance does not cover these items.
  13. Extra Cleaning fees: There is no extra charge unless we find evidence of Smoking, Pets, and Candles, dirty dishes or excessive general cleaning. Please treat our property with care and respect. We know accidents happen so let us know and we will be willing to work with you. Any of the above will result in extra charges being placed on your credit card up to $200 but not limited to.
  14. Occupancy: Occupancy is strictly limited to two people per bedroom, anyone exceeding this number will be charged and asked to leave as per the NC Inn keepers Hospitality Laws for early evection. The number of people (including children) must be stated and agreed by management before taking possession any accommodation. If the number of people stated on our online booking form changes before check-in management must agree to the change, charges will apply. No parties, fraternities, sororities or school groups, all visitors must be approved by management and leave the property by 12 pm as per the Lake Lure Vacation Rental Regulations.

Pursuant to North Carolina statute, you are notified of the following. The right and obligations of the parties to this agreement are defined by law and include unique provisions permitting the disbursement of rent prior to tenancy and expedited eviction of tenants. By staying with such properties you are in this agreement or payment of monies or taking possession of the property after receipt of this agreement is evidence of your acceptance of this agreement and your intent to use this property for vacation rental.
