We are what is concidered a Bed and Breakfast. The tradition of the extra sevice and amenties with a touch more privacy.  We have a two story lodge with five bedroom/bathroom combination and a Breakfast room. There is a second building with a large king bed suite and a connected Cottage.   You have your own private entrance and bathroom for each room. We offer rates with or without breakfast.  If you choose breakafast, we provides a farm to table traditional American style experience made by a trained chef.   We are nestled on the mountianside surrounded by woods.  We are connected to a quiet country road that is a calming 7 minute walk, that leads down to the Lake center of Lake Lure and Beach area.

MOUNTAIN STYLE B&B

Grafton Lodge is nestled in the Western North Carolina mountains in the town of Lake Lure.   The lodge is here to offer you the perfect location for your time away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

We are a Bed & Breakfast Lodge. This property is a 1 cottage (a private full kitchen, livingroom, bedroom, bathroom) and we also have 6 bedrooms in the Lodge (Each are a Private bedroom, bathroom with a sitting area). There is private access to each and every room. Many rooms either have a private terrace or a private deck. We also have 2 large Shared Decks for you to enjoy.  The first deck is covered with a real wood burning fireplace and the other deck is on the second floor and is great spot for star gazing.   Full American Breakfast  for 2 is an option rate, and is created by Chef Rich..  We also offer Romantic add-on's to help make it a special stay.  Please explore our pages to discover all that we have to offer.

MEET THE OWNERS Rich and Kimberly Sayles

Rich and Kim 
We are a husband and wife team.  We both went to the same college in 1989 at (PSC) Paul Smith’s College in upstate NY for the Hospitality Industry.  Rich’s degree is in Culinary. He is a trained chef. Kim went for Hotel/Restaurant Management. They purchased the property late December in 2016. Many updates have been made to the Breakfast room, Covered Deck and the Sleeping Rooms since their purchase. We are truly enjoying ourselves just a bit too much with this new chapter in life. Our wishes are for you to come visit the Lake Lure area and stay to decompress and rejuvenate with some beautiful mountain therapy.  Come have the time of your life!

Attraction

Lake Lure is a breath of fresh air.  The outdoor attractions available in the area are more than you can possible do durning a weekend stay. There is the adventurous side with Chimney Rocks State Park hiking and additional free hiking from easy to medium trails, zip lining, water skiing, rent a canoe or paddle boat.  Then enjoy the quiet side of Lake Lure by strolling the Flowereing Bridge, or enjoy a beautiful imformative boat tour on a large pontoon boat or rent your own pontoon boat.  Stroll the river walk and the shops in Chimney Rock Village. Enjoy a short drive to a lovely vineyard called Parker Bins and do a wine tasting  Then settle into a resturaunt for the evening as the town quiets down. Come back to the property and star gaze, enjoy a fire and listen to the crickets or watch the famous "Dirty Dancing" movie that is provided in each room.

We are already taling about staying there on future visits to the area.

We booked the cottage so that our two dogs would be comfortable over the weekend stay.  I think they enjoyed the trip as much as we did!

Waht an amazing stay!  Everything was perfect for our relaxing weedend.  Rich and Kim were the best hosts ever!  I highly recommend staying here.  We will for sure be visiting again.  Thank you Rich and Kimberly!

A lovely unique Bed and Breakfast!  The owners are very attentive without being fussy.  The breakfast is absolutely wonderful, but the shared deck and outdoor fireplace that is stocked is just the best! Everything you could want in a mountain lodge.  We will definitely come back again!

Lovely place, very very clean.  Breakfast was great both mornings.  A very comfortable bed and the host were the best.  We hope to go back again.

The nicest and cleanest pet friendly room we've ever stayed at.  Wonderful hosts and a delicious breakfast.  We would highly recomment Grafton Lodge.

The breakfast was awesome.  Blueberry pancakes with fresh whipped cream, berry-based real maple syrup. I think it was the conversation with the owners and other guest that sealed the deal!
